From May 13 to 24, we were in Italy, more precisely in the Liguria region, in the small villages in the mountains around the city of Albenga, to interview Germans in this area who are about to retire or have already retired.
From the 1st to the 14th of June, we were in Germany, more precisely in Nürnberg, to interview Italian economic migrants who move there during the 60s and 70s and are now retired.
From May 25th until June 8th, Başak Bilecen and Tuğçe Tezel were in Germany to conduct interviews with first-generation labor migrants from Turkey who arrived in the country during the late 1960s and early 1970s. We were precisely in the Nürnberg Metropolitan Region, which is one of the cities in the WHO Age-friendly Cities framework.
